  • A great way to participate with the chamber and get involved with the community is through committee involvement. Each committee seeks to serve and contribute to the community in different ways. Consider being a part of something great by joining one of these committees or invite one of your employees to represent your business by joining. We ask for a 1-2 year commitment.     Awards Committee

    Board Representative: Meg James  Committee Chair: Sara Broman

    Meetings are held on Thursday mornings upon announcement.

    Plans and organizes the Chamber’s annual Golden Oyster Awards. The annual Golden Oyster Awards event is a gala that was developed to recognize and award area businesses and community individuals who have made their mark in the greater Bluffton area. This committee administers the nomination and voting process for the awards, as well as all the details pertaining to the event event.


     


     

     


     

    Marketing & Programs

    ​Meetings: ​TBD

    ​Develops and executes marketing plans and programs that are beneficial to not only the Chamber but to the members. Programs such as "Member to Member" discounts and Shop Small Business week are to name a few.


    Ambassador Club

    Board Chair: Daniella Squicquero
     

    Meetings: 2nd Tuesday of every month from 11:30- 1:00 at a different member's local restaurant

    Ambassadors are the Chambers connections to the area businesses. They serve as representatives of the Chamber and liaisons for the membership and greater community. They participate in networking events, ribbon cuttings and other community events on behalf of the Chamber. Ambassadors also help with member retention and assisting in member to member relationship building.


     


     

    ​Technology Committee

    Meetings: TBA

    This committee's focus is on IT and programs that enhance and assist area businesses. They are a resource to members needing technology.


    Non-Profit/Community Committee

    Meetings: ​TBD at Chamber Headquarters.

    This group is made up of both profit and non-profit professionals. The main focus is to develop an overall fundraising calendar for the Chamber to manage. To encourage partnerships between profit and non-profit that will create good will and great exposure for all concerned.



    Young Professionals

    Co-Chairs: James Dismond and Keriann Ginter

    Meetings:  Monthly on a Wednesday evening, 5:30pm-7:00pm at different chamber member businesses

    The Young Professionals Group exists to assist in professional development and encouragement of business professionals in the greater Bluffton area to connect, engage and support one another within the community. This group is open to all ages for anyone interested in mentoring as well. They serve as a viable resource to the Chamber to assist in programs and events and volunteering in the community.
