The Sun City Board of Directors and Leadership Development Committee are working together to put on a phenomenal community Volunteer Fair. This community event will serve to connect willing and able individuals who are seeking volunteer opportunities with fitting non-profits in the area who are in need of help! This event will benefit the Sun City community, area non-profits, Sun City Residents who may be interested in volunteering, the Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Bluffton Community as a whole- particularly individuals and families that utilize the services of the non-profits. Located in Sun City where 15,000 “active adults” over age 55 reside, many of whom have strong skills and experience, connections will be made between willing hands and organizations who need willing hands.
Local non-profits are invited to take this opportunity to set up a table at the Volunteer Fair, along with any promotional materials, brochures or informational packets on their goods, services, and service opportunities for potential volunteers. There is a participation fee of $30 for all participating non-profits which includes a six foot table, two chairs, linen tablecloth plus setup and cleanup. Food and beverage options will be available for attendees.
To apply as a non-profit, please inform the Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce of your interest in participating in the Volunteer Fair by emailing info@blufftonchamberofcommerce.org or calling 843.757.1010. The Chamber will inform Sun City which will provide the application form to each organization and will define to whom to submit the $30 fee by check or credit card.
The Volunteer Fair is a win-win for Sun City, area non-profits, those served by the non-profits and for many Sun City residents who may be interested in enriching their lives and assisting their community (inside and outside of Sun City's gates) by sharing their talents and experience.
