Bluffton Boys & Girls Club Hosts Career Preparation and
Summer Jobs Program for Teens
Bluffton Teens to Receive Employability and Financial Planning Skills
through New, Interactive Program
BLUFFTON, SC, February 25, 2017 – The Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton announces its 2017 CareerLaunch
program to help prepare Bluffton teens for the workforce. The program will also benefit local businesses interested in offering paid summer jobs and cultivating future employees.
Teens, ages 15 to 18, should enroll now for the comprehensive eleven (11) week job-readiness and career exploration program which begins February 28 at 6:00 pm
and will be held through May 17, 2017 at the Bluffton Club, 100 H.E. McCracken Circle.
In addition to creating a professional portfolio, teens will receive weekly coaching and have an opportunity to interview for potential summer job openings. CareerLaunch
enrollment also includes leadership development and Money Matters,
a financial education workshop that focuses on basic personal finance and the importance of an early start to being financially responsible. The program, created by Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), helps teens get on a path toward budgeting, saving, planning for college or starting a business/career.
helps teens set career goals and improve their employability skills, the program enables employers to participate in a job fair on May 18
, try out talent for future full-time work, free staff from routine tasks, and enhance positive public relations in the community.
