Town of Bluffton Presents Citizens Engagement Workshop in March
Two-Hour Workshop Will Inform About Town Operations and Volunteer Opportunities
The Town of Bluffton will offer its second annual Citizens Engagement Workshop, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. in Town Hall’s auditorium (20 Bridge Street). During this free workshop, participants will receive an overview of town government, operations and initiatives.
Residents will also learn about opportunities to be a citizen leader as a member of one of the Town’s boards, commissions and committees. Overviews of these bodies will be presented, and participants will learn how to volunteer for appointments to them.
“The Town has more than 100 citizen volunteers who serve on our boards, commissions and committees,” Mayor Lisa Sulka said. “Their individual and collective voice and vote help shape Bluffton’s future. These town organizations, run by residents, play an integral part in the Town’s projects, policies and programs.”
Registration is not required, however it is encouraged. Light refreshments will be served. To register, please email Debbie Szpanka, public information officer, (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call (843.706.4534).
