VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - Beaufort Nat'l Cemetery
Help is needed to remove the wreaths that were laid on December 19th at the Beaufort National Cemetery. Wreaths will be removed by the National Veterans' Cemetery Association this Friday, 1-15-21. Just show up Friday morning at the cemetery between 8am and 10am. All are welcome, and it's a big place so it's no problem accomodating social distancing!
    GRANT UPDATE
Before the holidays, the grant committee met and voted to recommend three grant applications to the Board for their approval. The Board approved the following Grants on behalf of the Club.
The Literacy Center for $2500, Family Promise of Beaufort County for $1600, and Programs for Exceptional People for $2500. Under normal circumstances we would have presented the grant money in-person at a club meeting but because of the pandemic we were unable to meet with a representative from each of the organizations. We have distributed the checks, and we are proud to support these great organizations and appreciate all that they do for our community!
