An accidental grant writer\, Sudie Barrineau was hooked from her first award letter. \; It was then she discovered\, through the power of writing grants\, she could make a difference in her community. \; Her first $500 award from a local foundation ignited a spark that has led to the ceaseless pursuit of polishing her grant skills through mentorships\, extensive research\, and real life experiences. Sudie has since successfully secured millions of dollars in competitive grant awards from the federal government\, state and local governments\, as well as private foundations such as the MacArthur Foundation. \; She has traveled the country for over 20 years training nonprofits and local governments on grant writing\, federal grant management\, and subawards. Sudie recently settled in Bluffton where she consults with clients in various fields of interest including justice\, health\, public safety\, arts\, and education. She enjoys Mah Jongg\, pickleball\, and spending time enjoying her Lowcountry life with her teacup Yorkie Stuntman Mike. \;
