The Inventory Specialist is responsible for assisting the Shipping & Receiving Supervisors in tracking the warehouse merchandise and ensuring accuracy in product count. There will be physical lifting of merchandise of up to 50 lbs.
JOB DUTIES:
- SAFETY FIRST for all
- Uses Computer and RF Scanner to identify & track merchandise
- Sort, count and log inventory which is shipped or received.
- Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages via the Company’s OS&D policy and notifies manager and/or purchasing personnel.
- Work directly with General Manager, Shipping Supervisor and/or Receiving Supervisor for daily direction and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
- Data entry of departmental receiving/shipping into the computer software, prepare routine reports, and file inventory records.
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and all safety regulations.
- Conduct physical cycle counts on merchandise and equipment as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Supervisors
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have at least 1-year recent warehouse inventory experience or similar job function
- Experience using RF Scanners
- Solid basic math skills
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment and on problem solving activities
- Must be able to work 8-hour shifts
- Standing, Walking, Bending & Lifting for long periods of time
- Lift up to 50 lbs. during the shift
- Pass background check and drug screen

- Day Shift: Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
