Fletcher Battles is a native of Birmingham, AL, but has been a proud resident of the Lowcountry since 2020. Battles earned a degree in Finance and Spanish from Mississippi State International Business Program. Fletcher will also be furthering his education to earn his MBA from the University of South Carolina beginning August 2021.
Prior to relocating to the area, Fletcher worked as an Associate Internal Auditor on the International Traveling team for FedEx Corporate Services in Memphis, TN. Following his time at FedEx Corporate Services, he worked as a Financial and Business Analyst for International Paper, which was also located in Memphis, TN. Fletcher now serves as the Senior Financial Analyst at the Savannah Containerboard Mill.
Battles has been heavily involved in the communities where he has resided. Prior to relocating, he was involved with Young Villages in Memphis, TN, which is a nonprofit dedicated to helping emotionally and behaviorally troubled youth. In addition, he was involved with the International Paper FORUM, which is a nonprofit that assists in developing Young Professionals at International Paper and getting them involved in the community. Fletcher currently serves as the Treasurer for the Bluffton Chamber Young Professionals (BCYP) and is involved in the International Paper Political Action Committee (IPPAC).
When Fletcher is not working or volunteering, he enjoys being outside, kayaking, networking, and spending time with his wife, 10-month old daughter, and English Mastiff.
