The Rose Hill Equestrian Club has taken the initiative to bring Polo back to our neighborhood on a regular basis. The Spring 2023 Charity Polo Classic event will directly benefit local charities: Family Promise of Beaufort County, The Parkinson’s Foundation of the Carolinas, Caring Neighbors in Bluffton, and Saint Gregory the Great & Schools.
 
Our inaugural event will be a throwback to the beginnings of Polo in Rose Hill, which was championed by Dr. Sandy S. Termotto. Dr. Termotto will be surprised with the honor of having the field dedicated to him by his good friend and fellow polo enthusiast, James Edward Alexander. The game will be played in memory of Buck Limehouse, a giant in polo and cornerstone in the Lowcountry and Southeast.  Team Limehouse will be out to claim the winner’s trophy for a match that will be truly meaningful to so many. 
 
The Spring 2023 Charity Polo Classic hosted by the Rose Hill Equestrian Club serves multiple purposes: it brings us together as a community around an equestrian event; and it elevates the lowcountry by highlighting its charm and tradition through its association with the elite and exciting sport of Polo.
