Wine Time Bluffton opens in Old Town with lots of Excitement
Your new local spot to discover new wines and irresistible small plates
Bluffton, SC – The Bluffton Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the Grand Opening of Wine Time Bluffton on the Promenade in Old Town. Wine Time Bluffton occupies the space where Ben and Jerrys was previously located, and is a vision turned reality for owners Rob and Lauren Bazemore, partnering with local chef & sommelier, Kevin Cleary, the store’s General Manager. Opening mid-day at 11am, the restaurant features small plates, artisan cheeses and charcuterie created to pair perfectly with over two dozen wine by-the-glass options.
The new space also offers over 350 different wine labels and 20 different cheeses for retail. The wines are mostly selected from among family winemakers from around the world who focus on natural, organic or biodynamic production. Cheeses are sourced both locally, and from other US and European dairies, so you’re certain to find something new to enjoy. With a focus on supporting other local businesses, you’ll also find retail items available such as Julie Jones hand-painted wine glasses, candles made here in Bluffton by Bluffton Candle, and breads from Sprout Momma. Even the honey chosen for the menu and retail is sourced from bees in Charleston!
You’ll also find that you can “do good while you drink good.” For every bottle purchased or every Wine Battle chosen in the store, Wine Time Bluffton will donate one dollar to a local non-profit, selected each month. Additional menu offerings include wine-based craft cocktails, a handful of local beers and spirits, neat or on the rocks.
The Bazemore’s believe that a healthy small business ecosystem is at the core of a thriving community and are thrilled to be a part of the Bluffton landscape. Their family company, Epoch Lowcountry Ventures, based in Hilton Head, has the sole purpose of supporting local entrepreneurs and small business creation through both for-profit and non-profit investment. “Wine Time Bluffton is the first commercial business launched by Epoch Lowcountry Ventures. At our core we care about supporting local small businesses and non-profits and we’ve built that into the fabric of Wine Time operations.”
Wine Time Bluffton’s General manager, Kevin Cleary, DipWSET, discovered Bluffton 18 months ago with his wife Kathi, and never looked back. He’s excited to welcome you into his new adventure with the Bazemore’s and make Wine Time part of the fabric of the Bluffton community.
Wine Time Bluffton is open Monday – Saturday 11am to 9pm.
