About Us

Bluffton Builders brings a high level of integrity and craftsmanship to homes in the greater Bluffton Area. Bluffton Builders was established in 2017 by owner, Gary Chowansky. Gary came to Bluffton in 2014 after working for himself and owning his own company in Southern New Jersey. With semi-retirement in mind, he worked for a local custom home builder in Palmetto Bluff. Shortly after, he realized it was in his blood to be the captain of his own ship. In 2019 he asked his son Ryan to come help spread the good word on Bluffton Builders with his marketing background. After just a year, they added on their first employee. Not much longer after, Gary's second son came in to help. In 2021, Ryan was featured on the Discovery Network show, ''Beachfront Bargain Hunt: Home Renovations'', which led to an extensive stint running remodeling projects on Hilton Head Island. In 2022, 4 more highly skilled carpenters were added in the field, and two great assets in the office. With Ryan now running most of the day to day operations, sales, and marketing, Gary is keeping an eye on the technical aspects in the field. Bluffton Builder is proud of their team, their work, and their many ecstatic customers.
