About Us

We started Farmer and Sewell to bring intention, authenticity and heart back to homes in the South. While our core business is in the Lowcountry, we are expanding into new markets.

We believe a home is best layered over time. Creating a special place filled with unique pieces reflecting our client’s lives, personalities and story.

We prefer to make an intentional choice with furnishings. We create spaces around Uncle Mike’s server or Grandmother’s Morris chair instead of buying every piece new. Heirlooms and unique pieces create conversation, bringing a rich history to a client’s home. When something new is needed, we shop local first. We visit consignment, vintage, and antique stores and other local sources. This eliminates long, order delays, and saves our clients money. This process allows our client’s home to reflect them; one piece at a time all while supporting local businesses in our community!
