-Jacob Rosenthal, former president of the Culinary Institute of America in regards to Grandpa's Pecan Diamonds

George Metropolis worked as a candy maker before taking a position as a pastry chef instructor at the Culinary Institute of America in 1965. He was known for experimenting on and perfecting recipes throughout his career.

He received several accolades for his work with bread and pastry including the Gold Medal of France.

Grandpa lived in Hyde Park New York. Growing up, he would always send his love to his 9 grand kids in a shoe box filled with decadent pastries, the favorite of which were his Pecan Diamonds.

We grew up enjoying these incredible pastries for all sorts of holidays and special occasions and I am thrilled to share them with you and your loved ones for your special moments.
