Melanie Gallion is a proud native and resident of Beaufort, South Carolina. Gallion earned her Master’s Degree in Information Management from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and Guidance from the University of South Carolina-Coastal Carolina and a Professional Development Certificate in High Education Leadership from the University of South Carolina.
Gallion has many years of experience in Higher Education serving in multiple roles with Horry-Georgetown Technical College in Conway, SC, Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC and currently is the Director of Business and Workforce Services for the Technical College of the Lowcountry in Beaufort, SC.
In addition to her day-to-day job, Gallion is heavily involved in the community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce and is also involved with the Beaufort Chamber of Commerce. Gallion is a member of the Lowcountry Council of Governments and the Rotary Club of Beaufort where she is recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow.
