Position Overview:
The Marketing and Communications Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to enhance Osprey Village’s visibility, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and support fundraising and programmatic goals. This role is vital to ensuring the community understands and supports our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Marketing Leadership:
- Develop and implement an integrated marketing and communications plan aligned with Osprey Village’s mission and goals.
- Create and execute campaigns to raise awareness, engage donors, and recruit volunteers.
- Content Development and Management:
- Oversee the creation of compelling content, including social media posts, newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
- Digital Marketing:
- Manage Osprey Village’s online presence, including website content, email marketing, and social media accounts.
- Optimize digital channels to increase engagement and drive traffic to fundraising and program initiatives.
- Media and Public Relations:
- Build relationships with local media outlets and develop strategies to secure coverage of Osprey Village events, campaigns, and success stories.
- Act as the primary spokesperson for media inquiries when needed.
- Event Promotion:
- Work with the team to market fundraising events and community engagement initiatives.
- Create promotional materials and manage event-related communications.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with the Development Team to craft targeted communications for donors, sponsors, and partners.
- Support outreach efforts to build relationships with potential stakeholders.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze marketing campaign performance to identify areas of improvement.
- Provide regular reports on marketing efforts and their impact on organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Proven success in developing and executing marketing strategies.
- Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, including social media platforms, email marketing software, and analytics tools.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams.
