With over 15 years of experience in the contemporary gallery and auction world, corporate brand-building through events and environments, and in-field hospitality design execution, Maria draws on her varied experience, education, travels, and personal love of the visual arts to curate and develop purposeful art collections that truly distinguish residential, commercial and hospitality environments. Over the course of her career, her clients have included Motorola, Lenovo, Sonder, Niagara Bottling, Coca-Cola and UBS.

Energized by working with creatives through innovative artist partnerships and inspired by culture-driven impact initiatives, she believes art is a powerful tool that can deeply connect our daily lives to history, place, culture and community. 

Maria graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Art History from Vassar College, and obtained a Master's degree in Media Studies from The New School in New York City. She is also a certified Creative Placemaking practitioner through the NJ Institute of Technology and serves on the Town of Bluffton’s Public Art Committee.
